About Lisetta

Harp master and performer, Lisetta Rossi has held conferences, seminars and masterclasses in Europe, China and the USA.

She studied in Florence and Venice, at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and with French and American masters.

Later on, she graduated in Social Sciences and has also turned her interest to complementary disciplines such as the Alexander, Feldenkrais, Wimola methods, Taijiquan and Bioenergetic.

From her experiences of body awareness and her skills as a teacher and professional harpist, Lisetta has carried out a personal analysis and study of the instrumental gesture, relating it to the functional movements of the human body and the basic elements of biomechanics.

She was first harp in symphony and opera orchestras such as the RadioTV orchestra in Milan, Sinfonica Nazionale RadioTV in Turin, Teatro Saõ Carlos in Lisbon, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and has to her credit world premiere performances as a soloist, in chamber groups and with orchestras. She is an active member of the contemporary music ensemble Gruppo Maderna, and is frequently invited to be a jury member of harp performance and composition competitions.

As a part of the research project Tuscan Musical Treasures, she has been researching the unpublished original repertoire for single-action harp from the 18th and 19th centuries, performing it on an 1818 Erard harp. Among her publications are 12 Sonatas by G. F. Giuliani, recorded for Brilliant Classics, and Concerto for harp and orchestra by C.G. Lidarti, which she performed in the first modern performance. She edits the series The harp library for PNV editions.

Lisetta has taught on the LMFL summer course in Florence since 2017.
